Hole 5
This hole is about removing the hazard of the pit on the right out of your mind. Look at the structures in the distance the two water towers and the Catholic Church. Taking a 5 iron and aiming towards the Catholic Church should keep you safe. You should find yourself about 180 yards from the green, where another 5 or even a 6 iron should keep you safe, short of the greenside bunkers. As long as you have made a good approach you should have a clear run to the pin. So taking a 6 iron chip and run the ball up to the hole. Good enough for a par but the very least a bogie [net par].

Hole Five ~ Pro Tips
348 yards par 4 stroke index 9“a card wrecker in every club competition” out of bounds right in pit over the fence and gorse bushes and bunkers left. Ideal tee shot 180 – 200 yards to middle of fairway as hole has slight dog leg right, mid to short iron for 2nd shot, think pin high (avoid steep riveted right-hand greenside front bunker) 2 putts and get the heck out of there !!!!
Hole 6

Going over the road for the next 3 holes with no bunkers to worry about, is a hole that lives up to its stroke index one. The rough is no place to be and using a favoured club, a driver if possible try to be on the left hand side of the fairway. Assuming that is what was achieved, play a fairway wood past the corner, cutting a bit off if you dare. For your third shot you should be looking at being short of the green, yes it is tempting after hitting a couple of good shots so far, but you can easily find yourself in the gully on the right. So play safe with a 6 iron to be short of the green. Chip and run onto the green with a 9 iron or pitching wedge. Concentrate on the putting next as the rewards for getting on the green can be easily lost. But one putt can do it after a good chip and run to get your bogie, net par. If you want to get on the green in 3 then play down the left hand side of the fairway with a fairway wood or a 3 iron and run onto the green from the left, the ball should naturally roll from the left to the right taking you to the centre of the green.

Hole Six ~ Pro Tips

474 yards par 4 stroke index 1Toughest hole on the course, don’t be fooled by the tee pointing into the left hand semi, focus on just left centre of fairway. 2nd shot is hard to line up as there are no bunkers and the green is below you, pick a line and focus, otherwise there is out of bounds left waiting. Large breaking green falling left to right and front to back.
